Dexter is known for advocating the use of plus size men on the runway. If you don't know Dexter Mayfield, now you will know. He is a plus size model, Actor and dancer from Los Angeles. He made his debut during LA fashion week 2015 and again in 2016.

He said.

Plus size women have the runway platform, but no one with male aesthetic has had that opportunity.

Dexter is now working to change that and bring more male models to limelight. He thinks that plus size male models need to be out there on the billboards.

I think that so many more young men will be confident in themselves and happy as the person they are if we can go out there and be seen.

Dexter was born on December 15, 1984 in Texas. He became famous after his first show in 2015, and now has over 35000 followers on Instagram. He has been on the cover of Hardy magazine and has danced for Jennifer Lopez and Katy Perry.

He says;

It's been a journey for me to get to where I am,growing up, I was the exact opposite. I wanted to please every single person in my life. I wasn't taking into consideration what made me happy. Once I started living for myself and started my own journey of  self discovery and living my authentic life, it came around. That attitude continued to grow from there and it's been met with so much Love, support and energy from people I don't know.
